Lag Bomer 1980 will long be remembered as one of the most exciting and inspirational Lag Bomer celebrations during the Rebbe's leadership.

That year, for the very first time, hundreds of thousands of children marched in thousands of parades, following the Rebbe's call to emulate the parade format in cities throughout the world.

The Rebbe's talk was the highlight of the central parade in Brooklyn, New York.

The Rebbe addressed the children on the themes of Lag B’omer: the message of the Omer counting, the unique lesson of the thirty third day, and how we can emulate Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.

In this beautiful release, one can virtually listen to the talks and watch the parade go by as floats, marching bands, clowns, and the faces of happy children all come alive in vivid color.
